What is Ramster Hall?

30 April 2012

Hidden away in the beautiful Surrey countryside just outside the historic town of Chiddingfold is the 17th century Ramster Hall.

Part private home, part events venue for weddings, civil ceremonies and private events. The house itself was originally a farmhouse and is surrounded by beautiful grounds that visitors are able to explore.

Wedding Reception Venue

These days the house has to pay for itself and so it works hard as one of Surrey's most beautiful and exclusive wedding venues where couples have a range of halls, courtyards and gardens available to ensure a weather proof, history filled day tucked away in a wonderful environment and gardens which are a mix of manicured and natural woodland. There a few wedding venues in the Surrey and West Sussex area that offer the same level of photographic opportunities! With suits of armour, beamed halls, inglenook fireplaces, ponds, ancient architecture and even more ancient trees, wedding photographers are not stuck for ideas!

Civil Ceremony venue

Ramster Hall was one of the very first private homes granted a civil wedding license in Surrey and as the venue is privately owned by the same family there is literally decades of civil ceremony experience at Ramster Hall so couples are in safe hands on the most important day of their lives.

Beautiful gardens

The gardens are so beautiful that they are even opened to the public for a short period throughout the year so that they can be enjoyed by everyone. Take a look at the gallery to see them in full colour (and under snow).

With capacity for up to 160 guests, Ramster Hall is a large Surrey Wedding venue for those people wanting something special, private, historic and varied on their wedding day.
