A Chance To Make Your Own Sculpture For Home Or Garden -The African Way
A weekend workshop in African stonecarving, conducted by Elvis Mamvura and King Munyaradzi from Zimbabwe, is on offer at Ramster Gardens. Steeped in the traditions of stone sculpting from an early age, the tutors help participants to translate their ideas into stone. But it is not only the artists that are from Zimbabwe; the raw opal and serpentine stone is as well thus making for a truly authentic experience. The course is suitable for beginners as well as practising sculptors. Children from 10 plus are welcome, that means the whole family can become involved. All the tools are provided. Everyone comes away with a sculpture of their own design and making.
